Bangkok is the largest and capital city of Thailand, forming its cultural, industrial, and financial centre. Being the most visited city in the world Bangkok is a large, bustling place that offers an almost limitless amount of things for you to do and see. The climate in Bangkok is tropical with consistently warm to hot weather throughout the year, and two seasons: dry and rainy. Average yearly temperature is 30°C.

Where to live

Siam: In the heart of the city and close to the financial district of Silom. Massive shopping centres such as MBK, Siam Paragon, Central World etc. Many things to do and close to tourist attractions. Much to see including markets, shopping, restaurants, cafes and bars.

Ekkamai: Known for its hipster vibe but also popular amongst middle-class expats and Thais. Has a plethora of dining and leisure options. Conveniently located near popular areas such as Sukhumvit and Thong Lor. The Eastern Bus Terminal is also found here.

Lad Phrao (Ladprao): Good for travellers on a budget and who like a more manageable area to live in. Has shopping centres, schools, markets, restaurants, bakeries and street food stalls.
